This is a private blog, kept for three reasons: 1. to freeze and focus the daily overflow of information and experiences for future reference, 2. to hone composition skills in Polish, German and English, possibly other languages some day, 3. to revisit my teenage habit of keeping a diary

Winter in New York
I enjoyed reading this personal account of Christmas and winter in New York by one Brit. It has a rare quality of being at the same time informative, funny and contemplative.

Denzel as a parent
Great Q&A with Denzel Washington on his parents and his being a parent, some wise thoughts, incuding the idea that at some age all you need is simplify arrangements around you.

Outdoor gyms
Putting outdoor gyms in for residents to work out is one of the most sensible recreation ideas I know. I first saw this sort of facilities in Helsinki, then discovered one in Poznań when I came back and now they set two more up near where I live. It was in the capital of Finland where I enjoyed them the most - they were made of wood and catered for a wide range of exercises, including shoulders.

Two Escobars
It was the only film from American Film Festival in Wrocław that I saw, picked up by Paweł. I later discovered that Two Escobars won the audience prize for the best documentary.
Olafur in Poznań
It was Nov 11, the Independence Day in Poland, and I sat down to watch Olafur Arnalds' gig.
