Outdoor gyms

Putting outdoor gyms in for residents to work out is one of the most sensible recreation ideas I know. I first saw this sort of facilities in Helsinki, then discovered one in Poznań when I came back and now they set two more up near where I live. It was in the capital of Finland where I enjoyed them the most - they were made of wood and catered for a wide range of exercises, including shoulders.

Some vocab I've run across lately:
. to fall apart laughing,
. a thermogram = thermal image,
. to represent a regression,
. to find an easy outlet for,
. to face long odds,
. the assembly hall (aula),
. to put roadblocks,
. to be a lump of lard = be fat,
. home-schooled students,
. at a blistering pace,
. a kneecap (= rzepka),
. a ligament (= wiązadło),
. a tendon (= ścięgno),
. a reduced-cost lunch,
. a cartilage (= chrząstka),
. sun-kissed = sun-tanned,
. track&field = lekkoatletyka,
. lie prone = na brzuchu / lie supine = na wznak,
. to skip classes = to skive,
. jack'o'lantern smile = with some front teeth missing,
. to be despondent about = without hope,
. blemish = skaza,
. jocks (= athletic types) and thespians (dramatic types),
. play tag / dobbey / chasey = berek,
