What level are we on?

Imagine there was a way to penetrate to your dreams when you're asleep and plant an idea so firmly in your mind that you became obsessed with it in reality. Imagine there were specially trained people who could carry such out operations with great skill. Imagine they were asked to tinker with the brain of the most powerful people in the world.

I went to see Inception for some good Saturday entertainment and walked away with plenty to talk about and think of. Despite its intimidating length, the film did a fantastic job of taking the audience on a rollercoaster of adventure and suspense. Leo di Caprio proved yet again (after such top performances as that in What's eating Gilbert Grape or The Departed) that he belongs to the elite club of Hollywood all-time greatest actors.

The themes of thought control, information manipulation and living in a dream feel very topical and tightly related to such classic stories as Matrix, The Others, Sixth Sense or Requiem for a Dream. Without losing its depth, which bordered on philosophical and existential, Inception represented the best of what action cinema can offer.
